About Us... Told by Jake

 

Well where do we start about us. I grew up outside, literally. I never wanted to come in as a kid, I was always out doing something in the woods. I was taught to hunt and fish by my dad, who by the way, is still to this day the best fly fisherman I have ever witnessed. I never missed a deer season, never would have stayed home if there was an opportunity to go hunt, and still dont. I was never around coon hunting and none of my family were coon hunters. I had an interest when I was about 12 and never pursuid it. It wasnt until i was about 16 that i started going with a buddy of mine and i was immediatly hooked. At 17 i had a pair of hounds of my own. I have gone so much farther with this than I ever anticipated going. But I couldnt enjoy it any more than i do and its a joy to have my wife Rebekah by my side. Now, shes not the kind of woman who gets mad when i come home at 4:00 am from the woods, shes the one walking in the door with me. Shes an outstanding show handler and has a great passion for the dogs. We hope that our three daughters take up what we teach them and show great amounts of respect for the dogs and breeds, as well as great sportsmanship. We love what we do and hope that this will continue the way it has for a while!!!
